My work is an investigation of the totality of the human condition, delicate, abject and limiting. My work has within, ‘capacity’; I create work that forms cross-relationships with ‘proposition’ and ‘hazard’, free will and constraint, it is amid these polls that I anticipate my resourcefulness will ensue. My work is direct, reliable and liberal. The work is approached with the utmost seriousness and worked upon with the intensity of a child at play. The work references loss and innocence but also an evolving virtue towards the struggle to hold onto or to rediscover innocence, a purity and a truth…my Art therefore is a construct, through maturity, through innocence and made achievable through the craft.

Much of my practice constantly evolves, through inquisitive processes and experimentation in the studio. One area of possibility is the exploration and the dialogue of the self-legislating ‘I’ and the fusion of imagination and authenticity. Fusion affords me both possibility and risk in the development of projects.

How does one articulate ‘feeling’ opposed to articulating an ‘idea’? ‘Feeling’ is our human predicament…that of being alive and conscious, where as ‘Idea’? Is that what is brought to bear upon man by himself? ‘Idea’ is an ontological study, an attempt to understand, justify and depict the human condition.

The human condition is timeless…it is ambiguous and indeterminate. This flow of thought (that is) our delicate condition is made manifest by a creative process. Is it an attempt to construct meaning through language and imagination where neither may really exist? This, the duality of thinking and worrying by the divided self is authentically something and nothing.

My work is seldom at rest; I relentlessly juggle the work. There are common theses to be found. I am in three places at once, the present, the past and in the future (The three of the perfect pair).
